USACertifiedtransparent.png

Tyler Anderson grew up in West Des Moines and played basketball at Valley High School. He was a three year starter who averaged 16 points,11 rebounds his senior year. Tyler was named 1st Team All-Conference, honorable mention All-State, and was also named MVP of the 2011 CIML All-Star game, that featured four Division I players. He also helped lead the Valley Tigers to the schools best record in 10 years.

Tyler was recruited by Truman State University and spent two seasons as a Bulldog before health issues brought him back to Iowa. He finished his basketball career at Simpson College and earned a degree in Sports Administration Management. After graduation in 2016, Tyler became an Assistant Varsity Coach, and also served as the Head Junior Varsity Coach, for the Storm for two seasons. He has also coached competitive youth basketball for four years, and for the last six years he coordinated and managed a central Iowa youth baseball and softball program.

Tyler is excited to be a part of helping young people reach their next level. He was fortunate enough to have many great coaches during his playing career and wants to pass his knowledge of the game on to others.
